Marketing creates preference for a product or service by positively engaging referring clinicians to influence their behavior in asking for a palliative care consultation. A clear marketing strategy will help your referring clinicians understand your value as a consulting service, increase the awareness of your program within your hospital, brand your program and improve or change the image of palliative care services.
This course will focus on marketing to referring clinicians, internal to your organization, as a means of increasing referrals. The same principles can be applied to a marketing strategy directed at patients/families and other health care professionals.
Although not required, CAPC recommends that participants take all of the courses within the e-learning category of Marketing and Patient Referrals.
