This course together with a strategic plan will provide you with all the elements necessary to update your business plan. This course will present two parts:

  1. Forecasting Staffing Requirements
  2. Funding Your Program

Although not required, CAPC recommends that participants take all of the courses within the topic of Planning for Growth to obtain a full understanding of maintaining a sustainable high-quality palliative care program.

This activity has been approved for 2 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.

CE credits for nurses and social workers will be provided.

Method of Participation

Participants must complete all of the following components to receive credit: enroll; recommended reading; pre-test; lesson with interactive web-links; data collection exercise; worksheets; post-test and course evaluation. A glossary and additional resources will also be provided to enhance participant learning.

Course is $35, per student.

New York State Nurses Association

This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the New York State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center‘s Commission on Accreditation.

It has been assigned approval code 85JQBD-10 to offer two (2) contact hours for this activity for the period of June 11, 2010 – June 10, 2012.

Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association

The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing (provider # CEP 7-76) to offer two (2) nursing education contact hours.

This course is approved by HPNA for the period of June 11, 2010 – June 10, 2012.

Association of Professional Chaplains

The provider of this educational event has designed the program so that it may be considered by participants for use as continuing education to enhance professional knowledge and pastoral competency for the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC). The APC requires that Board Certified Chaplains obtain and report to the APC at least 50 hours of continuing education (CE) per calendar year through participation in a broad range of educational experiences. Associate Chaplains are required to accumulate and report to the APC at least 30 hours of CE per calendar year.

National Association of Social Workers

This program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers (provider # 886437049) for two (2) continuing education contact hours.
